Why do water treatment companies send a salesman?

Many water treatment companies sell through in-home visits: a free water test, a demonstration, then a quote at the kitchen table. The visit and the salesperson's commission are built into the price, which is one reason prices are rarely posted online. We post ours instead, and a licensed plumber only comes to install.

How the in-home sale usually works

  • A free water test at your home, often with a demonstration using drops or strips.
  • A long conversation about what's in your water.
  • A quote on the day, sometimes with a discount that ends when the visit does.
  • Financing paperwork at the table.

Why that costs you

Someone pays for the time, travel and commission behind each visit, including the visits that don't end in a sale. That cost sits inside the price. When the price only appears at the end of a visit, it's also hard to compare with anyone else.

How we do it instead

  • Your water report comes from your utility's published testing, free, with the source on every number.
  • Prices are on the page: Whole Home Filtration $2,995, Filtration + Softening $4,495, Total Protection $7,495.
  • One photo of where your water line comes in lets the plumber confirm the fit, so there's no site visit.
  • A licensed plumber comes once, to install, in one morning, with the permit included.
  • If you're not happy within 60 days of install, we remove the system and refund you.

Short answers

Is a free in-home water test accurate?

Home test kits and drop tests can show hardness and chlorine, but they can't measure most of the contaminants in a utility's own lab testing. Your utility's annual water quality report and the EWG database have the lab results.

Can I buy a whole-home system without a home visit?

Yes. We price from your address and one photo, and a licensed plumber only visits to install.
