Why it's different

Why Florida homes repipe.

  1. 01PolybutyleneGrey plastic pipe was used in many homes built from 1978 to 1995. It's known to fail from the inside, without warning.
  2. 02InsuranceCitizens and many Florida insurers won't write new policies on older homes that still have it.
  3. 03One crew, one priceMany companies quote drywall and the permit separately. Our price includes both, so you can compare the all-in number.
"New-business risks that are over 20 years old with polybutylene piping are not insurable by Citizens."
Citizens Property Insurance, Rule 206.B. Ask your own agent what applies to your policy.

Questions

Before you book.

How much does it cost to repipe a house in Florida?

From $6,995 for a two-bathroom, single-story home, with the permit and drywall patching included. More bathrooms or a second story cost more, and you see that price in writing before any work starts.

How do I know if I have polybutylene?

Look for grey plastic pipe under a sink or at the water heater. The Pipe Check gives you a likelihood in a minute; a photo or the plumber confirms it.

When can I book?
